To show the Reply to a Question, My ASL Dictionary has a cartoon of a British Explorer illustrating the ASL hand sign for ANSWER.
Palms forward, the index fingers (1 hand) are both held up with the tip of the dominant finger over the lips. Both hands are then moved forward and down, like sending the answer straight from the lips.
