FAMILY TIME

With my previous ad advertising a student using my dictionary, I wanted to show a family enjoying it together. Inspired by the many videos of grandparents showing sign language to their grandchildren, I drew a grandmother and her grandson using my book to learn the word for Picture. Sign Language is communication with pictures instead of spoken words, so it fit to add the header “Pictures worth 1 000 Words”, a reference to ASL, the picture adage, and my book having over 1000 words in sign. I also used the two to display the age groups of my target audience, as cartoons can be used and enjoyed by all ages. Behind them are the letters for ASL. The first draft finished on April 26, 2021.

NEW AD

My Latest Ad for my Book. When Tellwell has completed the separate digital formats I’m certain marketing will give me extra training in the book’s promotion. With all those years focused on drawing single images for my dictionary, it was a necessary break to draw more than just one person (hence the books and poster surrounding the student of the first panel).
