HALLOWEEN FACE

With Halloween Memorabilia filling the stores with Candy, Costumes, and Decorations for the approaching All Hallows Eve, the next two weeks will feature Halloween Art and cartoon monsters from My ASL Dictionary.

The oldest Halloween tradition is the Jack-O-Lantern. A lantern carved from a pumpkin, its frightening face glowing from the windows and porches on Halloween night.

An updated cartoon of a woman dressed in a Jack-O-Lantern costume shows the ASL hand sign for PUMPKIN and MELON.

The forefinger and thumb of the 8 hand flick off the back of the opposite hand twice, like tapping a melon to test its ripeness.
