Emotion is the primal sense defined in the reaction humans experience in response to events or situations. Visible in facial expression, body language, and voice (a context often lost in text communications).
Matching the University of Guelph’s ASL Club, the week will cover the ASL hand signs for Emotions and the facial expressions sometimes attached to each. Beginning with the title, I updated the picture by hiding the clown’s smile. As the emojis behind him show, not all emotions are happy (but the clown will later reveal he is).
My ASL Dictionary’s cartoon of a colourful clown shows the ASL hand sign for EMOTION.
Both E hands alternate in circles in front of the chest, showing the visual of the welling emotions inside.
