After working on the ASL animation for LOOK, it was time to put up MY ASL Dictionary’s other hand signs for Visual Sight.
Dressed for a hot summer day with a Tucan bird on his shoulder, a handsome Bird Watcher shows the ASL hand sign for SEE.
V hand, palm in with middle finger under eye, pulls away from the cheek, fingers following the direction of vision from the eyes.
The V hand is also the initial of VOIR (French for To See).
Adding to the Dictionary, the Birdwatcher also shows a Canadian variant of the ASL hand sign for SIGHT, the ability to SEE.
The Bent Middle finger of the Open 8 hand touches the upper cheek, under the eye, then the wrist rotates as the hand pulls away palm out, fingers following the direction of the eyes.
