Touch is essential to well-being, but the start of the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic issued rules against it, with masks, social distancing, and continuous hand washing.
To be ironic, My ASL Dictionary has a Health Care worker dressed in Full PPE, a mask, a shield, robes, and protective gloves showing the ASL hand sign for TOUCH, later giving a smile hidden under his mask.
Palms down, the bent Middle finger touches the back of the opposite hand, the actual act of touching.
This hand sign is also used for the term BEEN TO, as in
“Have you been to the Vaccination Clinic?
ASL: “FINISH TOUCH CLINIC YOU?”

This post is another Dictionary Correction.
The TOUCH hand sign in My ASL Dictionary states a double motion when the finger only needs to touch Once.
My apologies.
