To keep the characters of my ASL Dictionary colourful and vibrant, I drew a cartoon of the game show host to the Price is Right, comedian and actor Drew Carey. Dressed in an elaborate game show jacket and a beaming smile, he first illustrates the ASL hand sign for WRONG, ERROR, INACCURATE, and MISHAP, with the words in English spinning on the Big Wheel.

Changing his face to a more serious expression, with closed lips and furrowed brows, he shows the next variant of the hand sign for MISTAKE and MISTAKEN. Vertical Y hand taps on the chin Twice.
Just as a Game Show has Three Doors, my Cartoon Host purses his lips quizically for the hand sign’s third variant for the action of the careless blunder, to make an error, make a mistake, screw up, have an accident or Whoops!
