CUPID’S ARROW

CUPID’S ARROW
February is the month of Love, the perfect time to present My ASL Dictionary’s hand signs for that emotion, beginning with the Winged Harbinger of Desire, Love, Affection, and Attraction. Instead of a little boy Cherub, my book has an adult EROS with a Golden Bow and Quiver to show the ASL hand sign for FALL IN LOVE. With the forefinger in front of the nose, the ONE hand arcs down onto the opposite palm of the Flat hand in a Double tap forward, the index finger like Cupid’s arrow seeking its target.

This February post also corrects a mistake in the Dictionary, which describes Falling in Love as the L hand arcs down when it is the number 1 hand sign. A sad error missed by both myself and the editor. My apologies.
