COME HERE!
Having 2020 as the deadline for My ASL Dictionary’s completion, this final year often included hand signs previously missed. I wanted my book to contain all the essential words in basic communication. A young girl dressed in Pink for a Spring party patiently smiles as she shows the ASL hand sign for COME.
With both hands extended, the index fingers arc down in front of the body in a quick single movement, like a visual invite to approach. As the second cartoon illustrates with one hand, this hand sign is also used by the Hearing (with or without shouting), often as an impatient gesture to get moving.
