Next week, my next ASL class with Canadian Hearing Services begins. To remind myself of the key to successful learning, my Dictionary’s ASL hand sign for PRACTICE. It’s a challenge to animate artwork from ten years ago, but it’s also an opportunity to update the hand sign. A cartoon of a decorated Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart (from BBC’s Doctor Who) shows the hand sign for Practice and Training. The A hand brushes back and forth against the opposite Index finger, like polishing your skills until they shine.
