Happy Labour Day! To celebrate, I dug up my ASL Dictionary’s Coal Miner to show the ASL hand sign for WORK. Previously posted Working 9-5 last year, I updated his animation by placing him in a dark and dusty Coal Mine, ironically making the fingerspelling larger and clearer to read. The heel of the S hand taps on the back of the opposite S hand twice, like a hard worker pounding the clock.
