Today I was caught in a heavy downpour that inspired me to post my Dictionary’s ASL hand sign for RAIN. The character is another cartoon of me posed with a drenched Autumn coat and Remembrance Day Poppy. Illustrated November 2013, this picture remembers the night I waited an hour in the rain after a canceled ASL class for the bus home.
The 5 hands move downward in front of the shoulders twice for the fingertips to mimic the falling raindrops.
