TUSSLE

My Dictionary began as a collection of the illustrated notes I created for my ASL classes. In 2013 I was taught the ASL hand sign for Wrestling (two years before I would learn about Deaf wrestler Matthew Stanley Hamill, the Hammer). Not following the sport, my only knowledge of wrestling was from a movie about a young high school student bitten by a radioactive spider, so that was the character I used to show Wrestle. With the fingers of both 5 hand signs interlocked, the hands pivot back and forth. It mimics the visual of grappling a competitor to throw or hold them down in the ring.
