Keeping your hands still when you’re nervous is close to impossible. As a person’s anxiety can be visible on their face, the ASL hand sign for this emotion makes it clear with the natural gesture of both hands shaking in dread and fearful anticipation. Following my ASL teachers’ instruction, I included a grimace of worry on this colourful clown’s face as he shakes his hands in distress. I also sped up the fingerspelling to match the clown’s jitters (if this is too quick for some, let me know in the comments).
