I wasn’t as happy with the Halloween outfit for Fraction, so when drawing an example of a simple fraction, I let the second character have better luck in the costume department.
In a new skeleton outfit, this party-goer displays the integers of a fraction. Like the Fraction hand sign, the raised hand shows the numerator first before pulling down to illustrate the denominator.
While creating the dictionary’s artwork, my good friend Shannon Stuart had helped me in the past to improve my illustrations (see Cup of Joe).
She assisted me again today with the animation by asking me to show her more than one example of the fraction hand sign to understand how it works.
The dictionary has only the example of the hand sign for 1/5. Taking my friend’s advice, I added three more fractions to the animation to make the sign clearer.
