After the dictionary’s completion, I would learn an alternative hand sign for Metal commonly used in Canada. I drew this version for myself and animated it for fans of the book. Once again, I have the Tinman for this hand sign but with more of his body. Comparing the two helps reflect on my changes in art style and well as my understanding of ASL body language. This hand sign’s tapping of the front teeth is similar to the hand sign Glass. There are regions in Canada where this sign taps on the cheek instead.
Tomorrow I will post the Glass hand sign.
